The Family of George Francis Osborne and
Phoebe Ann Beech















George Francis Osborne, b. 30 December 1871 at 33 New Church Street, Birmingham.
He married Phoebe Ann Beech, b. 24 October 1868; d.  8 July 1954. They married on 12 August 1899. They had 1 daughter:
Lilian Frances Osborne, b.11 June 1900 at 9 Sumpter Pathway, Chester; m. Robert Frederick Stockwell (1907 – 2002) on 23 September 1933 at Trinity Methodist Church, Prestatyn, Flintshire; d. 26 September 1990.
George died on 4 May 1940 at Rhosmor, Melyd Avenue, Prestatyn, Flintshire.
George Francis Osborne was the son of Francis Osborne (1845 – 1885) and Amelia Baxter (1846 – 1918). Francis and Amelia had 4 children.
Phoebe Ann Beech was the daughter of Joseph Beech (1827 – 1893) and Emma Clark (1827 – 1903). Joseph and Emma had 7 children.
George trained as a Civil & Mechanical Engineer. He moved to Chester in 1897 where he joined the firm of Henry Lanceley & Son. He stayed with them all his working life and rose to be a Director of the Company.
Phoebe was often known as Fay Beech (or Osborne).















The family lived at 9 Sumpter Pathway (left photo) until about 1914, when they moved to 4 Newry Park, Chester (right photo).
The family moved to Prestatyn, Flintshire in 1921.
